Roadies salute

We say “people cannot change”, but I think people can, just watched Roadies X journey 5. I never liked “Avtar” (those who don’t follow Roadies, he was the participant in Roadies 8 and X.) I saw him first in Roadies 8, didn’t like the way he use to play games, his cruddy talks, his behaviour towards girls and his manners. Again he came in Roadies X, as a completely different man. In first task itself he earned everyone’s respect. He is the man of his words and he has proved it. Palak who is another contestant of Roadies X got eliminated this time. As to justify that “he is a man of his words” he exchanged his place with palak and got himself eliminated.

“Talk is not cheap, you cheap in your talk by saying what you don’t mean and not doing what you say.”

Roadies salute to Avtar.

Six Rules of Life

Six Rules:
             Rule 1:
If you like something because you think other people going to like it, it’s a sure bet no one will.
             Rule 2:
Most doors in the world are closed, so if you find one that you want to get into, you damn well     better have an interesting knock. And if you knock like your drum, you will be fine.
             Rule 3:
Everything that you think is important isn't, and everything you think is unimportant is.
             Rule 4:
                Don’t shit where you eat.
             Rule 5:
    Lean into it.
Outcome doesn't matter, what matters is that you are there for it. Whatever “it” is good or bad.
 Rule 6:
     Not important. :P

Social Cause

In this selfish world, the pride you feel when you do something great, something that is nearly not at all related to your own personal interest, the things you do for betterment of people, place, society, country and world. Donating platelets is the one that I have done today.
Donating platelets: So today was my second time, first was 11-03-11.
Friday nights I got a text from an unknown number “urgent need of platelets in Christian Medical College (CMC) “so I went there Sunday morning gave 12ml of blood for screening for various tests including HIV, herpes, Malaria and few other blood components count and doctor asked me to come on Wednesday at 12:30pm.
So today I went there met patient’s father who is from Bihar and his 5 year old son is suffering from some disease that is tough to remember, all I know is his daughter, who is 7 year old is donating her bone marrow as to save her only brother. God have mercy on his family.
I entered the platelets separation room around 1pm and saw all the beds were empty except one, on that bed a little girl is donating her platelets later I came to know that the same girl is donating her bone marrow for her brother.
My turn came and I also donated, it took around 2 hours to take 400ml of platelets, and literally that guy injected 3 inch long needle inside my fore arm and that was the only time when I felt pain, but thinking of that little girl who was lying next to me gave me courage, that when she can bear it why can’t I. The best part in donating platelets is the time when your mouth start shivering as I skipped my lunch today my half of the body started shivering. I enjoyed it no doubt it was fun.
Best part in donating blood is that you come to know your body is working fine. :)

Sloppy points

Ø  YOU ARE NOT ONLY PAID TO WORK, YOU ARE PAID TO BE SCARED
You are paid to leave your comfort zone on a daily bases, go out to the blue ocean of unknown and yes it will make you feel uncomfortable, make you feel frightened, but if you are not feeling FRIGHTNED every day, you are not innovating and you are NOT MAKING MUCH PROGRESS.
Ø  FREEDOM
Everything can be taken from a man but one thing, the last of the human freedom, to choose once attitude to a given set of circumstances, to choose once way.

This is what happen when you work for the first time in lab. :P

“What starts well, ends well.”
Something similar happened to me in the starting of last month i.e. February.
1st of feb, Friday. Day started as any other day, i was happy that finally I got some work to do in lab.
Seriously telling I never liked lab work, all these years of my engineering I hated it, I was one of them who comfortably use to sit and see others working in lab. So not to mention I had no real time experience with all precaution people follow inside lab.
I met my project guide in the morning and he asked me to prepare few agar plates and inoculate it with tablets, I was very excited that finally I got some work to do. Whole day I worked though it was my first day I was little exhausted. Clock was showing 19:35 and lab shuts at 20:00 hours.
I sat to do work under Laminar Air Flow (LAF) and found out there was no alcohol present, ran to each and every lab but couldn't find it. So I went to store room and asked attender to give alcohol and he gave me 99.99% pure alcohol and I walked from there towards my work place.I poured the alcohol nicely into my hands and dipped the L-rod to perform platting, and rest of the alcohol I wiped on my hands as it acts as disinfectant. I took the L-rod near the flame to sterilize it and didn't realize that the pure alcohol that was there on the L-rod was also on my hand. My hand instantly caught fire and it took me 2sec to realize this and next 5sec to get rid of that fire.
The burning sensation lasted for next 36 hours.Till that time I wasn't in a condition to say anything. I remembered later that evening when I went out with friends and I was sitting and hiding my pain, I wanted to scratch my entire hand. The sensation was killing me, than in room my roommate told me “I haven’t seen you this freaked out before.”
Later my kind hearted guide gave me 10 days leave. Yo yo. !!!!
This is how my February started. J J

Drilling Saturday

Wow!!!  Feeling good finally I got the time to write. Past few days were too hectic because of my so called "FINAL SEM PROJECT". The things I find funny in lab are:
1.       Those who use to say “Bharat is also working in lab”, I don’t see those people now anywhere in and around the building.
When you start doing something good I can assure you, you will get hundreds of people that will make fun of you, try to weaken you, will try to condemn you at that point of time you have to keep your patience in control and try to overrule all the other thought so that you can only focus on what you are doing, maintain silence and try not to show any kind of reaction to them.
Let me tell you the best reaction you can give to them is your success in that very work.

2.       Usually I start work around 9:30 and leave lab around 8:30, but when I come back to room and summarize whole day work I realize that anyone could have done this in just 6 hours. Like any other normal person I hate that feeling.
My Daddy always used to say don’t work like an ass, and all these years it was just a sentence for me nothing else! but now I realize that the best way to work is not only to split work but split time as well. Plan everything before starting your work. Have a complete idea off what all things you are going to do. Without proper planning nothing is possible
“A goal without a plan is just a wish.”

3.       One day Lab assistant yelled at me because I was annoying him again and again, and he yelled for like three min and finally apologized to me for his behavior though it was my fault, then I realized how humble these people are. And saying SORRY to anyone is not a big deal. It not only improves our relationship with them but also shows reconcile side of ours.
No one is big or small in this materialistic world, I remember once my Cross Culture Management professor was sharing his experience, “He felt a slight earthquake while he was in his office, so he ran outside the building and started calling his loved once, when he came back his assistant said, “Are you alright sir, I have been looking for you” than he realized that how selfish he became for a moment as this guy without worrying about himself was looking for him.”
Remember: Always give respect to once who are around you because they will be the first once who will stand next to you at the time of your miseries

Everyone should belive in this and apply in your daily life.

I never thought one fine day I'll be making my blog. Trust me i didn't even know what blog means. Few days back one of my friend showed me one blog and I was inspired by the content of that blog. This is my final year in college so i thought of doing so many new things but i never planned this. :)
I'm more like a introvert but i'll try to post my daily experiences over. :)
